How many hinges does a door need?
Three hinges for a standard internal door. Four for heavy or tall doors, which includes most solid main entrance doors.
What lock goes on a bathroom door?
A bathroom (privacy) lock with a thumb turn inside and an emergency release outside. It does not need a key.
Should all the handles match?
Most people keep one finish through the house so handles, hinges and bathroom accessories agree. You can mix: matte black on the main door with brushed gold inside is a common choice.
